Awesum Sea Food 2011-09-19
Been here couple of times - also to the one at Parle. Their Bombil Fry is my all-time favourite....Am not such a seafood lover but Gajalee is an execption surely. The Oysester Masala is superb. The Mutton chops are great, crisp. Chicken & Mutton Thalis are also good. Sol Kadi is great I hear from my family...as I dont really like the taste. But great place for great Value for money food experience. -

I bcame an instant over of sea-food by having the "Bombil Fry!"...
even chicken dishes are reallyyyy gooood

The Food is good. But service is really bad. Staff needs to be trained to serve the restaurant of this price band. Very unprofessional. -

Great food, pathetic service! 2011-02-01
Gajaali has been one of the finest restaurants comprising of a menu that serves west coastal food. I greatly savour its delicious crab in green chilli sauce. Or the solkadi at the end of every meal. So much have been said about the food in this restaurant that I need not say any more.
Although the food here is to die for, the service will definitely kill you for it! Sunday evenings are the worst. I have seen waiters rush up the orders just so that customers finish up and make room for other customers waiting outside, suggesting bread that is quick to cook, and frowning on ordering crab/lob... read more -

Amazing Place for a Gomantak cuisine lover 2010-07-13
One of my oldest memories of eating mutton thalis in a restaurant as a kid, are from Gajalee Parle (E). I had been eating here since almost a decade, watching bollywood biggies as well as industrial scions munching into their food to glory.
It was only a couple of years back that I stumbled upon the Andheri East – MIDC outlet of Gajalee. Trust my words on this, but this one gives the Parle flagship outlet a run for its money. Easily one of the best seafood I have ever had... 2010-06-26
...and that's coming from someone who loves fish cooked the Bengali way - with a lot of mustard - and so has never much liked the fish in the Konkan or Mangalore cuisine.
But before the fish came the clams, prawns and crabs. And disappeared within moments. Accompanied by sounds of approval and contentment from everyone in my company - even those who are not exactly fond of seafood.

Gajalee : Great food slow service 2010-02-16
Went for lunch with my family on a sunday. The food here is just toooo good, ambience and valet is nice considering that it was crowded. Hoever the service requires improvement. First of all the waiter left a bootle of mineral water on the table but forgot to server glasses. Also the waiter completely forgot to place order for a dish of tandoori crabs that were orderer. We were left to look at each others face for 20 minutes after the starters just waiting for the dish. But alas the quality of food is too good to overcome the shortcomings of the place. Fantastic sea food, little heavy on pockets 2009-10-19
Went there for lunch with my colleagues. Ok, if you are there in noon time after 1 pm then for sure you have to wait for 5 mins or more, if you aren't lucky.
Serves: only ala carte.
Serving time: okay
Menu: good variety of sea food, prawns, lobsters, squids and baby sharks too. Also serves other non-veg items, but its specialty is sea food.
Taste: Very good
Quantity: okay
Cost: Little pricey
Note: They have live stock for display so that you can choose what you eat (helpful in choosing the size etc.). Veggies, this is not a place for you :) -

Food Coupons are not allowed 2009-07-30
They have stopped accepting Food Coupons for payments since about a month ago. This place is frequented by office goers around the area, for whom it was convenient to make payments using Food coupons. But alas they have stopped this now?
Wines and Beer are now part of the menu. This was started about a week ago. No other liquors are provided. Food as usual is exceptionally good. My ratings would have been 5 had they not stopped the payment via food coupons. -
