Hey All, Me and my wife visited Gajalee on August Friday night around 10 p.m. We entered the restaurant, greeted nicely by the host, we asked for a table which was made avail to us within a minute. Good! I liked that. We got table just near the entrance, the seats are comfortable. The ambiance was good. We ordered Basa fry and Prawns biryani. basa fry was well cooked, served with some chutney, The combination was very good. Well prawns biryani was so so. The waiter was very attentive. on a rainy friday evening, we decided to head to Phoenix to try out the recommended sea food at gajalee. The problem starts at the beginning - we were with our kid (just about 1 year) and we were told that we will get a table in 5 mins. We loitered around and kept checking for the table. Finally after 20 mins and that too after we threatened to walk out we got a table. I understand if there is no table but why make false promises.

Me, my sis & 2 friends went to Gajalee on 1st April 2011. We started off with Tandoori Crabs; I have heard ppl raving about tandoori crab. I must say the crab was cooked well, the tandoori masala was lip smacking delicious, but TANDOORI + CRAB is not the combo to have!!! the tandoori favor overpowers the crab & having eaten a lot of crab before, I could make that out. However, for crab first timers, ull love it. Well, for the price( small crab- Rs 1300 in april), its not worth it. portions are good. 3.5/5
Next we ordered surmai curry, prawns masala, butter roti & rice.
