GREAT VIEW, GOOD FOOD!!! 2011-08-01
Had read quite a few good reviews about this place and had also read about it in magazines which said that this was one of the hotels in mumbai with a good view,and indeed it did turn out to be a place that had a great view and good food!!!.
We went there on a sunday afternoon when it was raining heavily and though we dont stay near by it was all worth travelling this far. The view of the racecourse and the surrounding area was really beautiful with all the clouds coming down and lots of greenery around .

nalli gosht this is place to eat it................very good ambiance this is one of my favorite places in Mumbai also try out the chicken kiev just love the way they decorate this dish. -

Yes, it is. You have to visit in the day time, at night you lose out on it's USP. I agree with most of what malu.aditi (Ambience steals the show ) says, below. Just one word of advice would be to not expect "Cocktails as Amazing as the View" -

I have been to gallops more than a couple of times and each time i feel that i should do this more often. The food is good...only good...it doesnt get better but the ambience and the view of the race course just make up for it. They have done the interior with a lot of colonial charm and sophistication and for me somehow it was never too crowded. The menu is a little restricted for veggies. Naram dil kebab and anardana paneer tikka in starters are really something you should definitely try, avoid the utterly disappointing delhi ki khaas tikki...!
