    After hearing so much about Geeta Bhavan, we thought to give it a try.... and No doubt that reviews we heard and read about are very True... they provide great food with simplicity and good flavor.... and since then it's become our regular Sunday Breakfast joint.... but in my recent two visits we found to be charged for more than what we actually ordered..The Bill was Incorrect.... they tried charging 30-40 Rs. Extra by adding those dishes which we didn't order.....and this thing repeated Twice with us..... which left us in bad mood...... :(

    When I was in college and short of moolah, I used to seldom indulge in street food. But then health was affected due to bad hygiene. After which, I switched to Geeta Bhavan. This is one of the best family restaurants. They have ample seating space so if you are going there on Sunday evening then you need not wait much to get a table. Speaking of the food, it very hygienic I must say and it doesnt burn a hole i your pocket. They need to hire better cooks for their chinese dishes.     If you have grown up in and around Chembur you know what Geeta Bhavan stands for. Its been there long before I was even born. And I've got fond memories of the place. I remember visiting with my parents after grocery and vegetable shopping. Ahh those days!!

    Its a regular Udupi styled restaurant with huge seating areas. You wont find an ambiance per say, but if you've been a regular, you have your own idea of ambiance here. The light weight tables and chairs, the huge standing fan blowing right into your face and yet you love it. This place has a different aura of its own.

    I m chetan from chembur, born and brought up...and have grown along with geeta bhavan,.. excellent south indian cuisine,,,have memories dating back from 1978 while studying in GEA tilll nowww,,,,,, too many memories,,too many birthdays,,,,,,,, awesome,,,,,,and thats my friend from school times in the picture............thanks geeta bhavan and all the staff at geeta bhavan for serving us wonderful food,,,,,,,,,,keep it up..........

    This is one of the oldest restaurants in Chembur. Famous singer Shankar Mahadevan used to visit this place when he stayed in Chembur. The food is simply awesome. The best part is that you get everything right from South-Indian to Chinese. This place is usually packed and u'll have to wait in the queue sometimes. But its worth it. What amazes me is the cost. It is so cheap. The quantity is also more. Their one naan roti can fill two people :o There is no special recommendation of dishes as everything available is simply awesome.

    What to write about a place that I have been to most of my growing years! Everything in this place from service to food to cleanliness is great!.. And unbeatable prices and taste. The thing I miss the most now there is the veg south indian thali that they seem to have discontinued for some reason! I hope by this post of mine, they are able to revive the thali magic again.....

    Think of a good experience and you get two! not only is this place cost saving, clean and centrally located, it has amazing food too! Waiters are prompt, variety is available. Simple and nice. Don't forget to order the Pav Bhaaji here. The onion rava dosa is another delight!

    Good awesome food - Upma, Idli, Vada, Dosa, etc. - cheap and quick service. Please don't expect any other good stuff...

    Tea/ coffee is so-so...only recommended for a quick & cheap breakfast...

    All you guys have got it wrong. Geeta Bhavan's first speciality is its pavbhaji which is truly the best, is Shilpa Shetty's(whose hometown is Chembur) favourite pavbhaji too. All its bhajis and snacks here are very tasty , service is quick and food is very cheap. Try its pavbhaji and masala pav ,they are great!
