Good Bad 2012-02-28
With mainland china starting in Vashi, it seems these guys are doing something different to keep the crowd in, whatever they are doing , it seems it not working..
I have eaten in this place since 2008 , comparing service level have gone down .. , all those tasty sauce keeping disappearing, restaurant interiors not up-to the mark.
All the menu items taste the same..
Guys need to re-look yourself.. else there are many options for Chinese in Vashi -

The Good - The Bad - The Ugly 2011-12-14
The Good:
Wanted a home delivery for Indian Chinese and located Golden Wok as an option. referred to the menu on Burrp and found it to be good and prices reasonable. Unfortunately the numbers on Burrp were old numbers – new numbers are 2775-2312 and 2775-2313 (a little help from Google). Spoke with Timir at Golden Wok who recommended Prawns in Gullian Sauce and I also chose Veg Burnt Gin/Gar Rice (did not bother to reconfirm prices that I saw on the Burrp site). The delivery was prompt from Sanpada to Seawoods and that was the only thing good about it.

Failed to live up to the expectations !!!!!!!!!! 2011-10-23
Ok - So I had read and heard about this Chinese authentic restaurant in the vicinity of Sanpada in Navi Mumbai and today we decided to try it out for one of our lazy Sunday lunches. Now the place was not very difficult to locate. The interiors were only average - sure there were those Chinese lanterns et al but the paints of the walls were chipping !!! The cutlery was not very clean either. Its a small restaurant and the seating was a little cramped. Plz no sizzlers 2011-02-22
I am a fan of golden wok but wont recommend the sizzlers... Not very exciting....Will still stick to pot pourri if i wanna have a sizler -

simply not happening ....de foods bad (the salt and pepper chicken didnt even have a hint of pepper....)......prbbly good for ppl who really hvnt had a taste of som scrumptious chinese cuisine in places like Mainland China......nice ambience tho... -

Love going to Chinese Wok when we want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city!
Like the ambiance and Service is quick (once you get seated)!
Like most of the dishes we have tried....

A birthday gave me another reason to come back for Lunch to this semi-authentic Chinese restaurant, of which I'd been longing to since many-a-days after the unprecedented shutting down of the Vashi favorite Yo! China.
Although located bang opposite the noisy and buzzing Sion-Panvel highway, the noise is just cut off as you enter.

the only reason this place gets three stars and not four is due to the the following reasons-
1.stale kimchi
2.slippery chopsticks
3.over attentive to the point of staring and drooling staff.
ofcourse, drooling cannot be credited to my presence but uncomfortable nonetheless.
On to the food. one of the few places where you get great quantity as well as quality of chinese food in Navi-Mumbai.
And its also located bang opposite some of the most established (read old) restaurants here such as Shikara and Appetite, though crossing the road would cost a limb or two. <... read more -
