Death By Starters 2011-02-24
had visited this place on a Monday night ( the prefect time to review a place )
it was close to 11 pm and the place was a little thin on guests .we were very nicely shown around the entire place and decided to settle for the much heard buffet
The buffet was priced at INR 730 / head ( a little on the upside..but we had already factored that )
soup / salad section was pretty much limited to some basic stuff..though the presence of an EGG SALAD was good...barely get to see that anymore .
The MEAL began with individual starters arriving on the table ..
the prawns - awesome
the chicken - pretty decent
the mutton kebabs - excellent
the fish - a pleasant surprise
and another chicken dish ...really nice and tender
the vegeterian starters were nice too but we decided to stick to the non vegeterian ones
what stands out is the presentation ....and the quality of the starters.
Main Course...
the main course is where it disappoints ...
there was
lamb ...crabs...butter chicken ...but none matched their grilled counterparts that we were served for starters .
it was more like Shaadi food ...u know...sadly that was the only disappointment .
however since we had anyway eaten tooooo many starters..we barely even had an appetite for the main course .
deserts were pretty ordinary ( skipped it completely)
constructive critisism
superb starters ...decent main course . but deserts need a second look .
oh yes...they serve only bottled water ( which earned the review the 4th star)
nice service . nice ambience .
