Not worth the hype! 2012-03-27
Did not find the ambience and the food worth the hype. I would definitely prefer Yauatcha to this. Good service but found the music too loud and the ambience too dark to have a conversation. -

Super food 2012-03-12
Visited the place for our 5th wedding anniversary and we were really pleased by the food and service. Had the duck rolls and prawns for starters along with their signature "hakkatinis" (they really hit you!), followed by the pork belly (absolutely yum) and venison with rice. Everything we ate was great and the service was execellant. However it is an expensive place...for special occasions:) -

Service and Care of customers should be better 2012-02-15
The menu is a little pricey but the food at Hakkasan is almost worth the money. However the service and overall experience is surely not. Be wary and careful with your money... -

Staff don't know what they're doing 2012-02-01
Excellent food.... Excellent ambiance ..... I have only one complain about this place.
When I made the reservation, I was told that children weren't allowed. However, I was given a table right across a couple of kids. When I brought this to the notice of the attendant, he said that children were allowed if they entered before a particular time.
Not really satisfied, I brought this to the notice of the manager, and I was then told that children were allowed in the section of the restaurant that I was seated in.
When I wrote in, to the customer service, they had no answer.

Not going back anytime soon 2012-01-14
Something has gone wrong in Hakkasan's mixing of international experience with indian sensibilities. In India - we don't drink 'tap water' and we like to pack our leftovers because we do not believe in wastage.
Loud techno music and pushy waiters made me hurry through my meal so I have little recollection of the food although it may have actually been good had i been able to taste it peacefully. -

I see that you are happy to receive compliments and have personally acknowledged them with great pride. Lets see what u have to say to the negative reviews posted here.
Compared to The Hakkasan in London you guys dont deserve the franchise and seriously need some lessons in marketing...
No doubt you will do well in Mumbai inspite of the many many flaws because a lot of people here dont know good food if it hit them in the face.. service levels are dismal as well...very unfortunate for me as I was really looking forward to some awesome dining experiences -

Great ambiance, great food ... even for veggies 2011-12-15
Had a great dining experience here tonight. Food was very good ... reminded me of some high-end pan-Asian restaurants I've dined at in the US. Ambiance was nice, though it can tend to get really loud. Good variety for vegetarians too, and the staff and service was excellent. Expensive but worth every bit on a special occasion! -

Good but expensive experience 2011-12-03
Great classy experience... lovely tofu starters, vegetarian chicken and delightful chocolate mousse to end with. Very expensive but will come back and this time will avoid the "hakka" - the house cocktail - which was tasting too similar to a pina colada for my liking.
However what takes away from the experience was about 28% of my food cost was in the form of taxes, vat, surcharges and this accursed 10% svc charge that all restaurants employ!! What nonsense!! -

Another awesome experience...keeps getting better! 2011-11-26
I usually don’t do this, but our experience at Hakkasan a few days ago has truly inspired me to write this review...
It started with Meena at reservations, who, with her wonderfully warm personality and friendly demeanor, made the simple act of reserving a table a real pleasure. She was not only efficient and eloquent, she even remembered us from her days at The Oberoi - right down to the names of our two dogs!

My friends and myself were having lunch at your esteemed restaurant and was really enjoying the ambience and great feel that it offers.The lunch was going great and we were all praises for Hakkasan till the time one of your staff who appeared to be from the managerial cadre (male) wearing a suit with a pink tie walked past us and remarked to his colleague ( female) in and absolute rude and disgusting manner "AND THESE OLD LADIES HERE", this made us loose face and all the interest in our lunch, i am guessing he has spent a lot of time outside this country as he seemed to have a very strong European... read more -
