I arrived at 1:00 PM on a Sunday to try their Sunday Brunch. I was told that only a 'Kids Love Rock' special buffet was available and NO a la carte meal would be served.
Even though the food was meant to cater primarily for children, they surely could have done a far, far better job. The buffet was simply terrible - the food lacked taste, imagination, presentation and extremely limited in choice. For Rs. 750 per head, I expected a lot more - even BBQ Nation in Bandra gives better choice for less fare. I had to make several trips because most items were not being replenished. Give me a break - for a buffet, dessert can't be vanilla ice cream served on a cone! And that too - it wasn't served till a couple of reminders were made to the staff!
But what was very irritating was to see the foreign tourist crowd arrive after us and be served a la carte food.
What increased our exasperation further was complete disregard by the waiters - it even took me three reminders to get the bill.
Travelling to Hard Rock is a pain given that one has to pay for parking, pay for service charge (even in a chaotic buffet) and inattentive staff.
For this price and service, there are far better choices in Lower Parel.
Hard Rock is maybe good for having drinks on a Friday night, but is terrible for Sunday Brunch.
