the crowd needs to be scrutinized 2012-04-30
The over all experience was good.. but like temptations_19 i too felt.. there were too many stags and cheap ppl out there.. the bouncers were a big help :) still i request Hawaiian shack to pls scan the crowds before allowing them to enter .. Girls especially don't feel safe when strange men keep staring and try to grope them.. and u just have to look at them and know they got drunk somewhere else and came to HS to create ruckus -

I was a li'l skeptical about going to HS after reading the reviews but i went there this thurs & to my surprise it wasn't all that bad. Entry was 1k/couple which was ok, because there was a full cover charge. The music was good, i liked the retro night. Drinks were not too expensive, 200 for a breezer, unlike other clubs which charge 400-450/- for something as simple as a breezer. The only negative pt. is the high no. of stags (read:guys & old wanky men) I didn't feel safe because the guys seem cheap & old, they stand in 1 corner & stare blatantly like zombies. From Greatest Fan to Greatly Disappointed 2012-02-06
I frequent this place quite often. I have even celebrated my b'day, Christmas & New Year at Hawaiian Shack last year! But the last time I was there around 2 weeks back I was totally bored. The ground floor level had pple just standing around which totally killed my mood. The 1st floor level DJ was weird. He played some odd hip hop interspersed with hindi music. What the hell is gong on? Someone fix it! Drinks & food OK. I just go there to drink & dance. I guess its time to get a new DJ! -

I don't get why everyone hates this place so much. Good music, cheap alcohol, awesome crowd... what more could you want? I come here like once a week with my friends. Highly recommended. -
