    Jehangir art gallery is not, and should not be considered as a benchmark for the art scene in Mumbai. That is because the gallery space is easily rented out to artists, and most of the times these artists are not very good. Having said that, some art shows hosted here have been exceptional. But going by the recent past, I would not recommend jehangir art gallery to travellers and budding art students.     I had been to place long back & it was good to see that Art is given an important. It is a big gallery & it has big hall where artist also be present when the exhibition is going on even we can interact with them. For me I was just seeing the exhibition trying to understand but could not come across but it was pleasant, the room was very quiet only people are moving around I saw paintings sculpture.     I have visited Jehangir frequently for the last 4 years, and really must stop myself from going in next time I get tempted.

    I say this as I have never been impressed with any of the exhibitions I have seen there. Either I am left struggling to recognize any talent and originality, or am desperately seeking some semblance of theme and form.

    This is therefore the perfect gallery for the "hotel bedroom/chocolate box" art connoisseur, or those suffering from a bout of the Emperor's New Clothes syndrome (Dolly Thakore and the rest of the Page 3 crowd take note).
