In a city where food uniqueness is pitched more often than it is witnessed in reality, ICW is unique, especially for that one flavor - Calcutta Meetha Paan.
It's unique and IMO it is executed well.
Friendly owner and staff. They encourage you to try different flavors. They offered me six before I made my selection - Chocolate to Die For (4/5), Bailey's (3.5/5). Others like gajar halwa, italian crispy chocolate were tasty and well executed but the Meetha Paan stood out for a unique experience - something I go out of my way to seek. Rs. 58 for a single scoop. Hokey Pokey is way behind. 2012-03-05
Natural Ice creams gets a competition next door in Shivaji Park - A newly opened ice-cream parlour. Strategically located with a lot of restaurants around.It is not a Gelato and not a natural. Definitely not a Hokey Pokey (Thank God!). The board says established in 19xx. I have not seen it till date at this place.
They have innovative flavours like meetha paan, Gajar Ka Halwa, Bailey's english cream etc and classical natural ones like Sitaphal, Chikkoo, Kulfi. Quite a few chocolate varieties are eye ball catchers.

If you've ever wondered what eating ice cream in a spaceship is like, check this place out. No fancy gelato or frozen yoghurt here--just full flavoured, high fat ice cream in all the classic flavours as well as some truly innovative ones. Paan and Halwa were a trip to taste, and I finally settled on Strawberry Cheesecake in a yummy waffle cone. Give it a shot. -
