  • great food, not so great dessert

I visit this place on a monthly basis. The ambience is quite good. The service was amazing the first time I went there, but then went downhill. Still good, though.

Their pasta is out of this world. I'm a staunch meat-eater, but their vegetarian options are quite fantastic. Their fish is always fresh. Turkey and beef sandwiches are the two that stand out. Pizzas are good, but I'd rather take their sandwiches or pasta.

Nothing to write home about when it comes to desserts, though. I had a souffle that was underwhelming. Their chocolate mousse was inedible, I had to return it.

  • Welcome to the burbs!

    3.5 stars, not 3!

Finally, Indigo comes to the suburbs. Rahul Akerkar's much vaunted Indigo launched in Andheri in a new Avtar "Indigo Cafe" in the same place where Vanilla Cafe was earlier.

A lot of people will give this place 4 and 5 stars. I give it 3.5.

Its low because its very expensive, service not great and flies pester you a lot! Here's my review! We went on a weekday afternoon - if you can get past the filthy entrance road (muddy puddles, potholes, etc) - the place has a pleasant ambience. Consists of an al-fresco section and and internal dining place.

  • Good Place.

I like this place. Why? Because every employee is looking to improve. I ordered the Roast Chicken with gravy. While I waited for my order attentive staff kept my glass of water full. When the food came I found the chicken a bit dry which i pionted out to the waiter. Within a minute I had a visit from a senior waiter who went in and talked to the chef. in 5 min. of my complain I had some extra gravy added to my chicken which helped a lot. This is a place you would want to visit. If the food is not up to your mark the staff will make it.
