What an absolute gem of a place. This is an impossible to locate place had I not been taken to it by my colleagues - @ceetee and Rohit K. This homely looking place serves what one might call ghar-ka-khana. The operation run by a husband/wife duo is quick, efficient and most importantly very hygienic.
They have 6-7 tables which are shared amongst the patrons. You should your order from where you're sitting to one of the ladies doing the cooking and pronto within minutes your order lands on the table.
This afternoon between our party of 3 people we had a couple of Aloo parathas with one of the tastiest green chutney's I've had in a while, some "thepla" looking stuff, a plate of schezwan rice & masala rice and a lunch plate. Finger licking stuff, I tell you. We chased the food down with some Nimbupani.
A must recommend for folks in the Matunga West area. Leave your expectations on ambiance, service etc. aside. Go there and enjoy a homely, easy on the stomach meal.
ps - They serve only veg stuff.
