I finally got a chance to try it out today. And boy, it was worthy it!
It is the sort of place, that usually does not get a second look. A simple entrance into a building compound with a banner that announces the name of the establishment. As soon as you walk in, you will be a little surprised at the cluttered layout with 4/5 long tables that can accommodate around 20 odd people.
The kitchen is right in front of you with a constant stream of fresh hot chapattis and parathas being served in full speed.
What an absolute gem of a place. This is an impossible to locate place had I not been taken to it by my colleagues - @ceetee and Rohit K. This homely looking place serves what one might call ghar-ka-khana. The operation run by a husband/wife duo is quick, efficient and most importantly very hygienic.
They have 6-7 tables which are shared amongst the patrons. You should your order from where you're sitting to one of the ladies doing the cooking and pronto within minutes your order lands on the table.

Amongst the various restaurants in the area, this place is probably the best 'tapri' you will find at Matunga West. Hidden away in a small by-lane and an easy miss if you are not vigilant enough to look for this place. I've pointed the place on the map as accurately as I could and the nearest landmark is the ICICI bank ATM
