Heard very good reviews of this newly opened spa and decided to check it out on a lazy afternoon. I'm no spa junkie but whenver I do visit spas, I'm a very discerning customer. Right from the magazine rack at the reception to the thoughtfully placed napkins in the washroom, I noticed every single detail. The decor was very beautiful, dimly lit, mildly scented and spanking clean.
Made myself comfortable at the waiting area, going through the list of spa services and saw some rare names there; Philipino ocean therapy, morrocan exfoliation, vino spa...tempting stuff! I chose to spoil myself crazy over the 90-minute Hawaiian geo thermal therapy. I was shown my room, again very beautiful, and given clean robes to change into. My therapist then gave me a little insight into the treatment - hot lava stones are placed on the body's pressure points (chakras) to relieve stress, along with a full body massage for total relaxation. She started off the treatment taking very good care, checking with me about the room temperature, the stones temperature, and the massage pressure. After placing the stones, she started with the massage most deftly; using two more stones for the effleurage and clinking them together after each stroke... going tick tick... it was a wonderful feeling. The head massage was so good, i almost fell asleep. At the end of the treatment I was given coconut water, as if I wasn't in Hawaii already! Would love to go back and try some new exotic treatment.
