Pathetic service and undeserving of a rating. 2012-05-11
We went here last night after having heard so mch abt d plce.... but were sheerly disappointed wid d kind of service and food served at us as though we were doing them a favor eating there.... lemme take u thru d painful journey....
Location: its located right at the starting of kalaghoda... opp rhythm house.... easy to locate and no difficulty in gettng in der...
Ambiance: the only saving grace of the place.... beautiful ambiance and nicely crafted one too!! but disappointingly, as we were abt to enter, the waiters were looking at us like hungry wolves.... damn.... 5-6 of them... read more -

Been there, done that!! 2012-04-06
Residing and working in SoBo, you've to visit this place one or another time. I used to work at stone-throwing distance from this place. Hence, visited one saturday for lunch.
Decor: oh, the ambiance loving folks will fall in love with the classic indoor setting.
Food: Pretty good, near authentic border frontier fair
Certainly value for money to visit once -

Khyber - bas ek baar 2012-03-11
I was bound with the responsibility of taking around my Australian colleague around Mumbai who was staying at Taj. he requests me to take him to a good north indian dinner in SoBo. My first choice- Masala Kraft. he turns down. I google and find Khyber and its fan following. He is amazed with the powerful name and we get in without a booking.
Ambience - A perfect 5/5 - Like a maze. room inside a room. Dimly Lit with good interior.
Service - 4/5 - for the patience exhibited in explaining the dishes.
Food -
Achari Tikka - good but Noorani beats this anytime.

Undeserving of a rating 2012-02-26
Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, we were told at 7 o'clock in the evening that we will get a table only at 9 o'clock. To my knowledge, every restaurant keep a certain number of tables for patrons who just walk in without reservation. The behavior of the management was indifferent and they made no efforts whatsoever to see if they could get us a table. I've been to Khyber before and the food, though not spectacular for vegetarians, is still quite good. But the place has lost all sense of hospitality, which is as important as food for a restaurant so expensive. Definitely not worth my time... read more -

Good stuff! 2011-11-29
Visited Khyber with a friend on Nov 16th...however since Ive just signed on to burrp, Im reviewing it a bit late. I had heard about this place a while back and finally decided to pay a visit. We ordered the Butter Chicken, Chicken Badaami and Roomali Rotis - truly delicious! The service was decent and the interiors are very well done. Only wish it wasn't so far since I live all the way in Bandra! Overall a very good experience. A must visit! -

For some reason, Khyber has long fallen off our horizon as a viable dinner option. On the rare occasion when we asked friends to join us for dinner there, they always cried off claiming ‘the food is very heavy and rich’. This, we thought was a strange comment especially since it’s consistently repeated. So last night, we decided we should take the plunge and have dinner there ourselves. We braved the torrential rain and were given a table despite, oddly, the restaurant having several vacant tables and simultaneously several punters waiting for tables. north indian food served right 2011-07-13
For those who seek quintessential Punjabi flavors against a setting that is a cocktail of modern and old school, Khyber is the place to come. The food comes close to the familiar Indian palette but with much more finesse. The restaurant has tried to create and maintain a sense of 'khyber-ness' to this place, and it is the food and the servers who closely resonate the same. The extensive selection of north Indian cuisines is a big plus, and I would not mind paying the moolah for a place this good.
Verdict: Absolutely worth it! -

HAD BEEN THERE TWO WEEKS BACK ON SUNDAY,IT IS A HUGE RESTAURANT WITH AMPLE SPACE,TABLES ARE WELL PLACED SO THAT PEOPLE DO NOT SIT IN CLOSE TOGETHER,BUT ALL THIS IS ABOUT THE AMBIENCE AND THE PHYSICAL LOOK,BUT WHEN WE TALK ABT FOOD....IT IS JUST OK OK.

Khyber is a place to visit if u in the mood to eat authentic rich Indian cuisine... It's a place equally popular with Indians n foreigners... My personal fav for vegetarians... Muct have their mint chutney n vinegared onions .. Starters is u are a bunch of four the veg platter is amazing n VFM... Comes with a assortment of five starters... For main course any roti u ordedr is very soft n tasty and does not leave u with a super stuffed tummy... In subzis the malai kaftan is a good option If u like a sweet gravy.. Great Food, Below average service 2010-10-09
This is the 2nd time in a month that I went to Khyber. The first was for a birthday treat.. we had taken a reservation, but due to some issues, we arrived there 15mins late. they had given our table away to someone else (other restaurants always call when their customer gets late.. but not khyber!!!).. so we waited for 45mins and we got very bad service through that 45mins..
I went there again today (saturday).. we got a table luckily.. but then the service is slow, waiters are rude.. they just walk away in the middle of u narrating your order (no exaggeration!)..
