Unhygienic / Awful / Tasteless / Bad Service 2012-02-29
I guess my title says it all.But I will elaborate it for fellow burrpers. I visited this Dhaba with a group for lunch. As soon as I entered the place all I could see are flies / insects.... food bits lying over the ground and empty bottles of beer lying around. I neglected this atmosphere coz I believe food quality is of utmost importance. Looking at the unhygienic conditions we decided to settle down for Daal Tadka & Rice. The waiter was hoovering around us like an additional fly hell bent to take the order; he even said place order fast since it will take 45 minutes to get the order.... Guess... read more -

Kinara dhaba, certainly qualifies to be called a dhaba, because of the vast area on which it is situated, Khatiyas for sittings ( even though we found it very uncomfortable to sit on them) etc. Of course you also have proper sofas and chairs on the other part of the restaurants as well. Lot of games for the kids. Live music (not typical for a dhaba). All in all they create a conducive environment for a group who want to spend relax time for couple of hours, enjoying hukkas and have a drink. disappointing... 2012-01-21
sad experiences...
a) when asked for forks, the waiter tells me "v r short of forks, y dont u use toothpicks instead"
b) u dnt get served sauses either with soups or starters, u hv to ask for every small little thing..
c) the starters really tastes pathetic... and the starter "cheese tikka" is literally a oily cheese cube served on ur plate.. which looks more like a soap.. it had pathetic taste too..
d) most of the khatiya's where 1 has to seat were half broken or too solid a seat... quite irritating... the pillows on these khatiya's - u can c tht these arent washed since -

Finally..a Dhaba for Mumbai :) 2011-12-03
Let me clear the air about dhabas..Dhabas are meant to be on highways and not tacked up in the by-lanes of the city or in Malls :P
Kinara is a saviour for Mumbaiites..we no longer have to drive all the way to lonavala/khandala to enjoy the dhaba ambiance.
Great place..good food..liked the seating arrangements!!

Excellent ambience and perfect for big groups 2011-11-28
i am surprised that the reviews posted by most people for Kinara are mostly negative or unfavorable!!! I wish to clarify that Kinara is the best place to go for dinner with big groups considering the tasty VFM food and more importantly the liquor which they serve as per NIP and Full Bottle pricing. The place is on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway and makes perfect long drive getaway for folks from Mumbai like us. I have been there about 6-7 times in the last one year alone. Earlier the prices were very low but now with the increase in food inflation and other factors they have hiked prices but it still... read more -

I have been there a few times over the couple of years... and still like being there... good ambiance.. good food and above average service.. I would recommend you to go there with ur own means of transport...
One of the best places to be with a group... quite affordable too -

i think person below lost his way...dis place ws nt 4 u man.... or he is new to mumbai. it is a well known fact dat Kinara is a place for non-vegs. It is not for the "paneer" types. Find some other boring veg place n stop bothering people here. U didnt even pay for ur food.. Sad.. -

Worst Place for Vegetarians!! 2011-01-04
I had been to Kinara a few times before with friends but never really liked the food over there and yesterday I experienced the worst that this place could have done for me. I and my friends are all vegetarians and we had ordered a paneer starter which came along with a salad. The moment we started eating it, I felt a strong stench coming out of it. After a little investigation I was shocked to find a RAW PIECE OF CHICKEN in my veg salad!!! Not worth/to mark 2010-10-10
We family and freinds of total 08 people went there, as i suggested them all due to my earlier visit. But i was very disappointed this time.Infact i feeled embrassed why i suggested this place today.
1.When we entered no one to help to get your seat even thou 5 to 7 places were empty.Their staff told to meet front desk
2.Front dest alloted us Machan. Reaching Machan, they said all are fool,Who gave you booking here!!!!!!
3.Again to desk and finally got 1 khatiya.
4.No arrangement to keep family and studs group to maintain harmony.
