A refreshing change from the nightspots of yesteryears, Kir is a new age night club that aims to set its own imprint on the city's entertainment scene. In terms of ambience, set-up, background and logistics it seems very well planned. Ample space, good security, good drinks, good food, good location. The New Year's eve night, however, was a let-down in some ways. While music was good until 12 am, the scene changed completely thereafter with the music singularly oriented towards bollywood, bollywood and more bollywood. This was disappointing. Nor was the selection of bollywood numbers particularly impressive. While the crowd seemed to be enjoying, and the party went on till past 3 am the music fell far short of expectations. Overall though I still rate it high for its other virtues.
