This is the place where my fiancee had her first sip of beer during our courting days. It will always hold a special place in my heart. They say Leopold reflects what Mumbai is. I disagree. It does not. If you want a place to reflect Mumbai, go to any of the small eateries in Lower Parel or Dadar. But if you want to be the yuppie Mumbaite, then Leopold is the place to be. Glass of chilled beer in hand with some of their highly recommended(read mouthwatering) food on the table, a quick conversation with a firang on a nearby table or a loud conversation with your friends; who would want anything else.
Advice - go dressed casually but in expensive looking clothes or go the bermuda way and look chic. Not a place for sloppy dressing unless you are a foreigner. Service is a bit slow, but the ambience and the historical relevance (ohh really?) of this place makes up for it.
