  • A bit expensive but worth it Apr 02, 2013

    We went to Mahesh for our off lunch, since its very famous for non veg and sea food, i was a bit hesitant for ordering a veg item. but must say that in veg also they had great variety and taste was also good. i must say for veg who feel lil reluctant for Mahesh lunch home thinking that its for non veg and all, pls break that notion and visit and try their veg items, they are awesomely awesome. in veg you must try Veg crispy, and hyderabadi Biryani.

  • Dont listen to the waiters ! Feb 14, 2013

    Was there on 12th Feb. I ordered prawns Gassi, the waiter told prawns Gassi wont be good, so try something else. Ended up having Bombay Duck Fry, which I did not like at all!

    So, the lesson is never listen to the waiter !!

    Went o Mahesh yest. I recollect having gone there when I was a junior client servicing guy and could still afford it. With the prices now, I wonder if anyone with a moderate salary can. Might be my 10th/ 15th time, so I knew what to expect. Anyways, we were expecting the place to be crowded since it was a sat eve and a Navroze too!! Surprisingly, we didn't have to wait even for a minute. Since I was driving, couldn't order drinks & since we all were hungry, ordered dinner right away.     I just cannot imagine of any other restaurant when I think of seafood. I've always been fond of seafood, but until I ate at Mahesh, it was mostly the deep fried fish. But the real taste of seafood in that Mangalorean curry was experienced on at Mahesh lunch home.

    I've been to most branches and it feels so good to get the same taste everywhere. However, the fort branch is where i've visited the most and each time has been a delight!

    The staff is simply good, and so is the calm & soothing ambiance.
