Okay Food, Nice Ambiance 2012-03-23
Was a little skeptical going into Mangiamo after reading mixed reviews but I must say my experience was a pleasant one.
We went at a time when the restaurant was just beginning preparations for its evening service, this however had no impact on their service or ruffled their feathers in any way.
In terms of the ambiance the place scores with nice wooden tables, polite waiters and a subtle classy color scheme running throughout.

Very Average Food 2012-02-24
I visited Mangiamo on a thursday night for dinner with friends.....thought it was a part of the Mangi Fera/Cafe chain of restaurants and went expecting good food. Unfortunately, the food is extremely average and certainly doesn't qualify as Italian fine dining. The restaurant itself is well done up, the staff is extremely courteous and helpful, but the food is a complete letdown. We ordered a caprese salad and a vegetarian pizza abd both were so disappointing that we didn't order any more food between 3 people. Also, the alcohol prices are ridiculous. Poor Service 2012-02-06
Visited Mangiamo on Sat night 4th Feb 2012. Had to wait at the bar for 20 mins before we got to our table which was reserved for 11pm, no plates on the table till i had to ask for it. Pasta served quickly but no bread on the table, when asked was given to understand that they had run out of stock. which place runs out of stock of bread on a sat night that too at Bandra?. to top it up, bill was not accurate. Overall food was good, but not worth the price or quantity, there is surely scope for improvement in both these departments. I had been with friends after reading the excellent review in midday newspaper. I was very impressed with the place looking at initially but after settling down and ordering for snacks the bruschetta and the mushrooms....the starters were very average and nothing great for a place that charges such premium. The main course was even a disaster, I am not sure if this can be called an Authentic Italian place....as this is not even close to italian...I had ordered a Pizza, Rissotto and a Primavera Penne....This was the worst italian food I have ever eaten even after paying such a premium....Would never... read more -
