The prices are OTT, probably because they want to recover the cost of printing their really long menu. However waiters at this place have no clue about the food & the kitchen is decidedly unhygienic. This place is meant for the labor class returning from gulf. -

Totally Rubbish 2009-03-07
After reading many reviews about this place and as I have a definite liking to Middle Eastern food thanks to my stay in the UAE I drove down all the way on last Sunday from town. I wish I had read the review by Sagheero before doing this.
Thinking that the place would be crowded on a Sunday afternoon we tried to book a table on Friday. The guy who received our call apparently was not used to such request as he appeared to be quite surprised. This should have put us on guard but didn't.

I have seen umpteen reviews on this site about this joint which made me visit it all the way from Prabhadevi. To put it in a nutshell, I was disappointed. Before you slay me, allow me to say my piece. A restaurant is a culmination of good food, service and ambience. This joint had good food, thats it. And mind you, not great food (food that makes your drive through an hour's worth of traffic worth it). I was expecting a full fledged restaurant and this is more like a cafe hangout joint. I was on a visit to Bombay from Kuwait when I heard of this restaurant from a fellow traveller on the plane.
Kuwait has some gorgeous restaurants serving all kinds of international cuisine; and to hear such high commendations for an unknown joint, somewhere in the Bombay suburbs, (Main link road in Oshiwara.
