Quality not the same 2012-04-03
I've eaten at Maroosh often enjoying their shwarma fare and even taking stuff home for my family. But recently I stopped there after a movie and got a chicken shwarma parcelled, only to reach home and taste a terrible roll. The chicken pieces weren't tender and the hummus like sauce was super salty, also the bread tasted stale. I'm wondering if I was given a roll made hours ago because he didn't make it in front of me, and had it ready and wrapped. -

the only reason im saying this is the service and attitude of the staff..... some days back i had a terrible experience with their staff.... i ordered a vegetarian dish and it came with pieces of chicken... 1st the waiter refused to accept that it was chicken and acted as if im a fool sitting there thinking its chicken... then i called his senior who confirmed it was chicken... but his attitude too was bad... no one ready to take the responsibility... thats when i decided to carry this matter forward... i got in touch with the outlet manager who was not on duty... when i asked for a letter confirm... read more -

Finally made it! 2011-01-24
After passing by the restaurant atleast a countless times in the past so many years, I finally got an opportunity last Saturday to have their food. Had a bunch of friends with me who happened to be Maroosh-regulars and wanted me try the best stuff there. It was a tough call deciding on what to have and after a tough fight between their rolls and roti+veg dishes, the latter was finally declared the winner and we called for Paneer Kadai with Tandoori/Roomali rotis. The quantity served was quite filling and tasted really good (perfectly spicy).

Tasty Shawarma 2010-10-01
Went with my friend @vishal.sood on his insistence. He says they serve the best Shawarma in town. Though din't taste like the best, it was delicious no doubt. If you happen to be around Phoenix Mills, give this place a try. -

Great Food, but poor service 2010-07-15
We visited Maroosh yesterday. Needless to say the food was great as expected (from previous reviews), a bit spicy but I can handle the spice so really enjoyed the food. The chicken shawarma was simple superb. However the service was very poor. The waiters were not interested to serve and the place looked a bit chaotic esp. in the evening. -

Pathetic! 2009-10-30
I'd been here earlier basically to have a quick bite but only recollect a tinge of disappointment. But then as I passed by this, the swirling chunks of meat of the open shawarma oven tempted me. I got weak and readily agreed to give this one a second look!
What hits you here is that the decor, ambiance etc. is negligible as you sit by dingy roadside benches with eager canine expectantly looking at you from 10 feet away! Go for the Chicken Rolls 2009-10-17
Wish their landlords gave them more space, even if it is not airconed. Great for the various chicken rolls, and convenient to carry around. Was expecting the same from the mutton sheekh rolls, but was disappointed by the lack of quantity of meat in them.
If you want to have a creamy and messy shwarma, then go for it. Would not recommend it especially when you have to squeeze your bum into half a bench and have to keep asking for more tissues.
Never tried the other dishes, as the seating (lack of it), the heat and the surroundings do not let you spend a lot of time at this -

Ironically, Desi rolls taste better than Shawarma 2009-10-15
I am a big shawarma fan - and while the shawarma Maroosh turns out is not appalling, they put a little too much of hummus in it - not to mention, makes it really messy to eat. The hummus flavour overwhelms the chicken - which is not how it should be. They would do so much better to put more pickled vegetables inside and less of the hummus.
(The same is the case with their falafel role - packed with hummus - no chance in hell you can eat it cleanly.)

Shawarmas not Good 2009-06-29
This place is stacked up in a small corner next to Naturals in Phoenix. They lac proper seating area and I thought it would make up for this in the food. This is what is the common trend with such eateries. If your seating is a little poor, the food is awesome. But Alas, the Shawarmas were not up to the mark.
