Mostly Grills is an open-air fine dining restaurant on the roof top of The Orchid Hotel Mumbai It has an idyllic setting with the pool on one side and a birds eye view of the airport on the other. Mostly Grills is set in a Mexican village right out of the wild west but the cuisine is nouvelle and truly international choice of Barbeque. It is a fusion Barbeque restaurant serving new range of International delicacies. Chef has ensured that the Vegetarians too have their choice of grilled delicacies and don't get a raw deal. STRICTLY AVERAGE: Ambiance, food, service 2011-08-14
Went there on a saturday night, dinner for 2, 13th August, 2011.
Was not too packed so got a chance to pick my table as I desired. The part where the view is great was crowded with people, and on the noisier side, so chose to sit on the other side of the restaurant (pool view).
The MENU(non veg part of it) barely has any options if you are not too much of a sea food person. Although I asked to bring my main course and appetizers together, I got one appetizer, then the main course and towards the end my final appetizer.

Good ambience, but the buck stops there 2011-07-03
The place has a very good ambience - a good view of the domestic airport on one end. There is a swimming pool at the other end, but one hardly notices it.
Decent service, the staff let you alone and won't trouble you. Where it fails is the food. For the veggies, there are hardly any options, and even the non-veg is quite bland. And the prices are quite exorbitant for what they offer.
Ok, a rooftop restaurant at a 5 star restaurant, you are supposed to pay for the ambience, but I have been to quite a few rooftop restaurants of 3/4/5 star hotels, and this is the only negative... read more -

palce for a date 2010-07-20
this weekend we decided to try somethin off beat & went to MG's at the Orchid. the place is such beauty on one side you have pool & on other you see an entire airstirp which is being soaked in rain food was good enough though a bit over priced. If you are goin on a date then its a perfect place where there are none to intrude your privacy about the menu i liked the cold soup and bbq assortment

Simply Superb ! 2010-07-18
Have been a regular to Mostly Grills for over a year now and have never walked out disappointed. The place is warm and friendly with an outstanding view of the runway on side and a cool sparkle of the swimming pool on the other. An awesome place for a quiet evening with your special friend (candle light dinner and a bottle of wine with live music on some days) The staff is very friendly and well informed. Most importantly, they are trained to be "un-obtrusive".
The food is very good as well. It is a little pricey but I think the experience totally justifies the price. -
