After reading the glorious reviews on Burrp, my wife & I decided to give this place a visit and try out their full body massage package. Mudd is located facing the sea and the decor of the reception is done up in rich purple - looks very relaxing and pleasing. However all the niceties end right there. For our therapy (its not called massage any more) we were ushered into 2 dingy rooms, extremely small, which had some big machine parked in one corner (thus reducing moving space further). No offer for some water, tea, no form filling, no discussions on the areas of the body that needed concentration. Nothing. It was as if saying, just get going with it. We don't have time for pleasantries. We were given our change and 1 towel and told to get ready for the therapy. No Robe !!!? Just a towel !!!? (thats a first one for us) and the money we were paying was no donuts !!! (4000/- for a couple). Firstly the dingy room with poor lighting, now this, Oh god, what had we got ourselves into?
Nevertheless, I told myself, if this place has got such good reviews may be the massage is going to be super good. (Eternal optimism you see!!!) As I got onto the bed, I realized, its too small and my legs were dandling in mid air. No extensions to rest your head - well they were kind enough to give me a pillow and no space to rest your hands by the side and NO I AM NOT SUPER HEALTHY OR FAT !!! Super Uncomfortable. The therapy started and guess what? - the therapist had uncut nails and they were making their presence felt . . .I just cursed myself and went through the agony. After the massage got over - we were told that there was no shower facility and that they will wipe off the oil with a hot towel !!! (this was truly an icing on the cake) Well, I have just about survived to tell you all my tale. This place may be very good for the salon and the manicures but if you are thinking about a full body massage of any kind - JUST FORGET IT !!!
