This restaurant has to be a hidden gem in the Queen of the suburbs. A group of 3, we decided to go there when we were recommended the food, and we were surely not disappointed!
Munchkins Thai Ban is tucked away in a lane off Pali Road; take a left at Basilico and right opposite the Gold's Gym entrance, it's easy to dismiss this place as ordinary. The seating isn't vast although the option to sit outdoors is available.
We went over the main course, and ordered portions of vegetarian as well as non veg, the items included Tom Yum soup, Thai curry (of course!), steamed rice, stir fry chicken for the meat lovers and steamed bread.
The food was really good, right from the flavouring of the soup to the taste of the curry on the rice and the way all the flavours just hit the mouth as soon as you take a bite. The added advantage (if the taste is just not enough!) was the portions that we received. I'd say it's comparable to 5 Spice up the road to an extent.
