  • not a good Thai place 2012-03-01

We went here recently after reading few positive reviews but were disappointed. The food was stale, not fresh at all. We told the server about this and he agreed but did not do anything about it. He said its because the vegetables were chopped earlier in the day so they may not be fresh. Also the ambience is decent but what food it is if there are mosquito around your food

  • Total Disappointment!!! 2012-02-21

Had been to THAIBAN last week with a friend reading good reviews on burrp...

The ambiance looked good as we entered just to find out that we were the only one to be there in the restaurant on a friday eve..... also the a/c's were switched off and it was hot in the restaurant, we had to specifically call the staff and ask them to switch it on...wow that was some start!!!

I must mention....The cook definitely had a taste for excess of salt in every dish we ordered that day!!

We ordered Veg Tom Yum soup.....and was disappointed as it was way to different from what

  • Good food, good ambience 2012-01-01

Been here a week back .. The food as described in the reviews here was great. We had only vegetarian and it was all good. The Thai Noodle Soup and the Nam Prik vegetarian starter were great. The green Thai curry was okay. The show stopper for the evening was the dessert. We had water chestnuts in coconut milk and that was amazing. It was a unique, refreshing and delicious dessert
One observation - we were seated outside, we felt that the service was slightly unattentive, despite only 5-6 tables being occupied. Maybe that should change
Else its a good place to try some soulful psuedo Thai

  • Sawadika to Good Thai Food! 2011-10-13

This restaurant has to be a hidden gem in the Queen of the suburbs. A group of 3, we decided to go there when we were recommended the food, and we were surely not disappointed!

Munchkins Thai Ban is tucked away in a lane off Pali Road; take a left at Basilico and right opposite the Gold's Gym entrance, it's easy to dismiss this place as ordinary. The seating isn't vast although the option to sit outdoors is available.

We went over the main course, and ordered portions of vegetarian as well as non veg, the items included Tom Yum soup, Thai curry (of course!), steamed rice, stir

  • Good food and good ambience 2011-07-30

On initial appearance it looks very mediocre, but the food and value for money is worth trying out!! I would love to go back to this place for some good authentic Thai food. The menu has been very nicely crafted keeping in mind the Indian requirments..

  • Eateratti: Good food, worth a try 2011-07-11

Visited Thai Ban on a sunday evening with a bunch of friends. A little about the tastes of the group that I was with, a couple of us weren't too fond of very spicy food, mild spicy worked, some thrived on really spicy food and some didn’t enjoy excess of coconut .Why I mentioned this is because our ordering for the evening was super, as it catered to all the above likes and dislikes. Our plates saw Vegetables with Salt and Pepper and Nam Prik Praw Je for starters and Phad Thai Noodles,Gaeng Kiew Warn (spicy green curry), Gaeng Phed (mildly spicy red curry) and 2 portions of steam rice for the main... read more

  • Thai ban rocks 2011-05-08

We were a group of friends who had visited munchkins thai-ban on saturday for lunch. Food was nice, good service but the quantity of food was very less comparing to price. We would like to thanks the manager and appreciate him for helping us to choose the menu which we all enjoyed.
