Tote on the turf is the hottest new place in town, barely a week old its the brainchild of Indigo?s Rahul Akerkar. Lavishly laid out the place is like nothing in the city. A massive bar, an indoor section as well as garden seating.
The menu is eclectic going from Thai Curry to Lasagna, the dishes themselves are pretty creative, though the odd one just does not work (just like at Indigo)
We had the mushroom tiramisu which was fantastic, as was the macaroni and veggie lasagna. the other two dishes were just okay.
The wine list is a little limited and they didnt have some of the wines on the list. ill chalk it down to being new born.
the service is friendly, informed and eager to please.
the ambiance is high end and the outlook classy. Dinner for 2 with a cocktail and a glass of wine would run 5000
Compared to indigo this one is more about the new modern Bombay rather than he old world charm of its older brother. no complaints though, if they play it right it will be a winner.
