Decent and among the top in thane 2012-04-14
I have had Chinese food in joints from South Mumbai to Ambernath and Borivali....... and I would certainly say that the food was decent and the service was excellent...
Me and my friend ventured into the Restaurant after seeing the high number of stars on my Burrp Mobile App.. The reason am mentioning the app is because I only saw the first few reviews..which had 4-5 stars.... I read the rest only before posting my own review..to be honest...

Awesome food, long queues!!! 2012-04-08
The food, ambiance & location is great but you really have to wait for an hour or so, to get into the restaurant. No reservations are taken here. -

Good place and be prepared to wait an hour! 2012-04-06
Very nice restaurant at the heart of Thane, friendly staff and good Chinese food, but if you go for dinner then be ready to wait a least for an hour or more. Service is too slow which results in huge waiting, also they don't take reservation on phone. -

It was a nice experience at Oriental spice, the food was good.There was nice pleasant atmosphere.It serves typical chinese cuisine , USP of the restaurant is ' TSING HOI '.
Its an appetizer .After 9 pm rush starts .8 to 10 people works in a kitchen.The service is quite good but what i feel is waiter waits for the order from guest. He should approach the guest.There are 64 covers in the restaurant. little bit of carelessness is there e.g when i got a menu card, on the 3rd page of the menu card some sauce were fallen. Rates are little expensive but i think its worth.

Bad experience 2011-09-27
Oriental Spice "used" to be my one of the favourite chinese restaurant and used to visit it quite often. It serves some really nice dishes. But I dont think I am gonna do it hence forth. This weekend had a horrible experience. 1st we had a cockroach freely roaming on our table..and then got our dish served with hair ont just once but twice..!! Worst there is no realisation with the staff on the same...!!! -

Chinese not quite the authentic but great still 2011-08-21
This is one restaurant one should visit at least once if you love Chinese food. Lets get this straight. Its not the best authentic Chinese food there is, and if say Mainland China or the Golden Dragon in Taj Palace Mumbai is a benchmark, then Oriental Spice may not be up there. But definitely its food is way ahead of the thousands of so called Indian Chinese food outlets out there. But go early to avoid the looong waiting time. Have been a regular at OS like I n my hubby call it.Lovely place for couples/families/group of friends.Its got the BEST CHINESE so far in Thane for sure.Love the momos there(dimsums as they have mentioned on the menu). Dishes like noodle Wrapped chicken, Kung pao Panner (earlier it was tofu) and Prawns are excellent. For main course besides the regular Garlic,schewan,manchurian stuff a must try is Chicken in devil sauce and Veg fried rice are the killer combos. Good menu option for both veg n non veg items. food is awesome- no doubt. to beat the long queue, i usually go there by 8. the place seems too small compared to the number of visitors it gets. management is also great. not too expensive. but one thing that bothers me is that, when i enter and sit, there s always a waiter waiting behind you to take the order and finish of fast. so i realise this is not the kind of place where u can sit, chit chat, relax and enjoy. the staff is quick in serving and also wrapping u up.. so not recommended for weekend dinner. thats the only sad thing about this one. in all, its good if u avoid the rush. -

Great food but .... 2010-04-30
Food is just too good ......but thats where it ends. Most days u have to wait like eternity and once u finally get seated , everything happens very quickly ( they just try their best to make u leave as quickly as possible!!!) . Soups r often brought cold ( seldom very hot) , so u don't waste time !Even the main course items r sometimes not so hot . Coming to prices , they have increased recently and the serving size has reduced.So the choice is yours !!! -

Oriental Spice..a treat and delight 2009-08-09
Hi All, I must say that this is the place one should visit if they want to enjoy the Chinese Food in and around Thane, Mulund, Bhandup or far till Kalyan and Mira Road. This is the most authentic food I ever had in long time..Excellent Service, Fantastic Food and Remarkable Service..Keep it up ! -
