I hear that Origami is closing down (not a confirmed news), so here's something I wrote after my dining experience there in the August of 2006!

9 tips to dine in a Japanese restaurant
-----------------------------------------------------
1. Never go on an empty stomach. A bit of lining in your stomach will prevent eroding the lining of your pocket.
2. Carry a magnifying glass along. You will have the mental satisfaction of eating reasonable portions of food.
3. Remember your doctor’s advice. Raw and fresh food is good for you.
4. If you suffer from acidity, there's nothing better than Japanese cuisine. The only flavouring is sea-water.
5. If the aquarium is too far from you place, bring your kids along here. Only, don't question the admission fees.
7. If you are a vegetarian, bring a camera along. You will have plenty of time and opportunity to indulge in some breath taking food photography. And who knows, you could even sell them to make enough money for your next Japanese meal.
8. Make sure you have a flexible tongue. Ordering the menu will take some skills.
9. Buy a pair of chopsticks a week in advance. Practise picking up a variety of objects ranging from a stapler pin to an apple.
