I went to Pali Village today with my girlfriend and we both were absolutely and very much positively surprised!
First, the interior is completely different from any other place in Bandra - it's totally non-snobbish, non-pathos, I would say Paris or Italian style. A place were atmosphere and food are important, rather than expensive glossy pieces of furniture.
Then, music selection is great. We met owner while leaving and he said his wife chooses everything herself. Again, you will not hear this music at any other venue in Mumbai. While many people will question importance of music at restaurants, I would say it can even play a veto role - put some dumb blockbuster song way-too-fast song and people will leave!
Food part is just as wonderful as my previous comments - I had some of the best tortellini in my life. Tortellini stuffed with dried tomatoes and zucchini. Would recommend to everybody! Portions are not too big but that's good for your body! :)
Next to negative points - every place must have some! Service is somewhat slow (as was mentioned here earlier). It took 15-20 minutes for our wine to arrive, it actually arrived after the salads. Also, selection of Indian wines is not that careful - they could find way better items. There is no beer in the menu so one has to spend a lot if decided to have some alcohol during the dinner.
In sum, it's a wonderful, cozy, romantic place and I'm going there again in a couple of days!
