  • That's okay, we still love you.

  • Cringing, craving, bingeing, braving... you always have an opinion on what's hot and what's not in your city and we just love to hear it. Besides, there's no better place to satiate that itch to bitch!

  • Sirf Thali! 2009-10-19

I had planned to visit this last year when the fire in Infinity Mall ensured everything was shut for months together, giving me no chance.

Diwali Lunch for the last 10 odd years has always been a Thali Lunch, trying out different places.

Checking out Menu at Kalash, Rajdhani & Panchavati - most items were similar, Panchvati won thanks to the proximity. The Special Menu today was:

Aloo Palak Rassawala (little palak visible, aloo & rassa dominated)
Moong & Chana in dahi preparation (wonder why bugger up a good kathol by mixing both, mind you I love both but separately)
Paneer Mutter (in a gujarati thali place?)
Bharwa Bhindi (Nice though I hate bhindi)

Khaman Dhokla (easiest, most economical & fastest to make)
Leelva Wonton (on phone, kachori written there & finally samosa)

    Apple Basundi (Not very happening)
Maal Pua (lovely, which everyone ate with relish)
    Bengali Sweet (Nice, fresh)

Kadhi/Daal (had a hard time serving piping hot)

    Rice/Pulao (Nice)

    Roti/Bhakri/Puri (all hot & continuous)

And the regular chatni, kachumbur, aachar, papad, chhas with a bottle of mineral water (Way back in 1995 they were the first to introduce free chilled mineral water bottle)

The service has always been good & continues being so. Total Damages 1890 + tip (7 thali @ 270/- each)

Overall a good experience, will definitely try it again when they have a complete Gujarati menu & less crowd.
