  • For all thali lovers 2012-02-14

In most thaali places, you either like the food or you don't. But here, not only was the food really good, they had great service! I've been to both the Andheri branch as well as the Marine Lines one, and had the same good experience in both places. Must visit if you like Gujarati/Rajathani food :)

  • Lovely Food 2010-07-11

Easy access and a good place for a quick and filling meal. The staff is welcoming and polite. Good quantity, variety and reasonably priced.Well lit and hygienic. Not only the quantity of the food is good but the quality is also amazing and really nice. Aamras is too good. Total value for money....

  • Sirf Thali! 2009-10-19

I had planned to visit this last year when the fire in Infinity Mall ensured everything was shut for months together, giving me no chance.

Diwali Lunch for the last 10 odd years has always been a Thali Lunch, trying out different places.

Checking out Menu at Kalash, Rajdhani & Panchavati - most items were similar, Panchvati won thanks to the proximity. The Special Menu today was:

Aloo Palak Rassawala (little palak visible, aloo & rassa dominated)
Moong & Chana in dahi preparation (wonder why bugger up a good kathol by mixing both, mind you I love both but separately)<

  • Unsatisfactory... 2009-06-28

Most of my Sunday afternoon Lunches are at a Thali Place.
Sadly, my THIS visit to this place is ... Unsatisfactory,

We all know its a generally good thali place, great ambience, well loacted, nie...but...

Reasons that upset me this time:

    1. Sloppy service. Too hurried, careless, dropping food all over, too much clanging, borderline inattentive.
    2. Quantity good, but Quality poor.
    3. Paneer burji had hardly any paneer.
    4. Phool Kachori tasted awful
    5. Dhoklas were weird.
    6. Basundi was strictly okay material, infact low grade
    7.

  • Gujus, Rejoice! 2009-04-27

Before we get into the nitty gritties of this place, let me preface it by saying the 5 stars being allotted is strictly within the context of guju thalis. If you're a vegetarian, love that semi-sweet tinge in all your dishes, and generally enjoy an unlimited spread of everything under the sun, then this is definitely the place for you.

The place is situated in the food court in Infiniti Mall, but by no means is a stall - they've taken a whole wing of the food court and converted it into a proper walk-in, sit down restaurant.

We trudged in on at high noon on Sunday to celebrat

  • Service 'the ghar ka khana' style 2009-04-21

Panchavati Gaurav is one of those places where they respect every individual entering the restaurant by serving them their food. The food is so good and mouth watering that at the end of your meal you won't come to know that you have eaten too much.

The moment you enter the restaurant you are greeted warmly and in a traditional gujrati-rajasthani way and led to your table. the ambience is excellent and pretty simple and decorative in a way, but once they start serving you the food theres no stopping to it and i had to actually tell them to slow down their pace.

    So for a price

My wife had been raving about a Panchavati Gaurav next to Bombay Hospital. A few months back when we passed by we saw that it had closed down. Now I am not sure if this is by the same folks but they have the same setup here.

It's an absolutely Gujarati Thali place. There is no menu but every day they have 4 sabjis, 3 kinds of rotis, 3 kinds of sweets, 2 farsans, dal kadhi, rice pulav and a few other things that I can't recall. I went on a Sunday and they had mixed vegetable, a potatoe sabji, lady fingers and a pulse for sanjis, roti, bhakri and masala puri, malai sandwitch, magni dal
