  • Once in a bluemoon option 2012-03-15

We visited Papa Pancho after couple of years. The quality of food has surely deteriorated over time and in no way is close to the niche dhaba with authentic cuisine it used to be. Now a very run of the mill kind of place will typical punjabi taste, oily food served in old brass utensils. The ambience outside has obviously taken a knock due to the famous Gasper building vs hoteliers issue.
Above all, visit if no option, food is not bad but not great.

Heard a lot about PP, so thought of visiting it once. The foods is good. Value for money 3.5/5. But the ambience and the mosquitoes below the table both sucks

Overall was a ok experience for first time. But sure will not visits again

  • A okay okay place.. 2011-08-06

I visited this place on a saturday night just because I was hungry and no plans of visiting a speciality place... This place is okay.... will serve you okay punjabi food with okay service.. but they are veryyyy low on thelevel of hygiene that they maintain in the restaurant...The tables there are so closely placed that a fellow guest on th eother table was about to hit my thums up bottle since he was trying to change position of his chair..The food is also quite average...For me.. I do not think im visiting this place again :)

  • BEWARE OF VALET PARKING 2011-08-05

The food is average Punjabi food. But beware of both the Management and the Valet parking staff. Mine and another guests' cars got scraped against each other by the Valet staff. The owner, a lady who saw the whole episode slinked away and the Manager on Duty said that he will 'take care' of everything. After we paid the bill ourselves ( no good hospitality gesture here too) we were told that the Management will get back. After a whole lot of days of following up, I was made to talk to the Valet who did the accident in the first place who told me that he was being forced to pay for the repairs!... read more

  • Great Food 2011-06-19

Delicious food and good service , ordered the paneer bhurji (good), naulakha sabzi (Excellent) Sarson Da Sag (Excellent ) and very light Makke di roti (excellent) and mutton Seekh Kabab (Cooked to perfection) yummy food . We also ordered Samosa Chole (excellent) Gol Gappe (you will not miss Delhi). Authentic punjabi food . Unlike other Punjabi restaurants in Mumbai which have heavy food. Papa pancho food is like eating home cooked delicious food . On the downside the phirni was very dry. A must visit to enjoy Punjabi food.

  • Papa Pancho! 2010-08-22

Well, I had heard of this place when Prahlad Kakkar had spoken about it. He is one of the owners of this restaurant and was speaking about how to have a catchy name and still ensure that he gets his licence from the government.

Me and three other friends went here and thulped! We couldnt complete what was served and the food was delicious. We ordered a couple of veg curries and some chicken dishes. These come along with Dal Makhani, curd and 2 parathas. The Paneer dish was really tasty and filling. To add to all this, we had a lassi each as well.

In all, a great place to go

  • Good food 2010-08-11

Food is good, meal for 2 costs 500-700 bucks. Good place to eat once in a while. But if you plan to go there with lots of friends ..this is not the place as the place is too small.
The place is not tht great but its not bad either...on the whole if u wanna have punjabi food in bandra this is the place to go.
(ps. Be prepared to wait in queue for 30-40 mins if you plan to go on a weekend.)

  • Place to take guests 2010-06-01

I take all my westerner/ tourist friends there... since its clean full blown punjabi fare just the kind they have in mind. So far i havent been let down and the ambience has a little funk. my recommendations, stuffed kulchas and jal jeera and dal cant go wrong with that, overpriced but its cozy and the quality of the food is consistent , not a binge place for me but works well for all my guests.
