  • fantastic buffet! 2011-08-30

been here thrice and have had a consistently fab experience. the service is good and the spread is very impressive.one suggestion may be to have 1/2 chinese dishes once in a while.. the starters are not many but the salad and other appetisers including soups are good..the coolers section to me is the USP of this place.. with mishti dohi, jaljeera, colour colas etc.... the maincourse is lavish esp for veg.. heartening to see some jain dishes as well... and the desserts is a generous blend of pastries, icecreams and indian sweets.. service is decent as well...will certainly recommend to others..

Was there the other day for lunch with a couple of buddies, was kinda starved after meetings the whole day, place was crowded to the brim,we opted for the buffet and were surprised by the food, mixed stuff indian conti and some jain food too, with some veg and non veg starters served on the table, they had these bottles in the salad section with health drinks and some chaas which was nice.
Overall good food with a value for money

  • Average Buffet 2009-10-21

Considering the price they charge, the spread is average for the dinner buffet. It is surely not one of those 5 Star Coffee Shops that can command a high price so the food spread would be lesser but the food is cold and tasteless. Plus the service on the weekends tends to slacken maybe as they are understaffed? Surely not a VFM joint.

well well i had been there twice - and opted for night buffet ,
just lazily have a 4 - 5 course meal from 12 midnight to 3 am when the whole mumbai is sleeping

    Start with starters
soup will be refreshing and a good appetizer
different varieties of breads , fresh and yummy (try them all with soup )
salads are yummy and you will find really good variety to suit ur taste.

after that take a 30 min break and chit chat with your friends
main course is just ok - 2-3 non-veg varieties , 2-3 veg varieties ,dal roti and rice ( but if you want you can give

I happened to be to the Parabola for their lunch buffet last Saturday. Price per head - Rs. 600/- (incl. of taxes)
    Here's my report card.

Ambience: 3/5 - Quite average. Ac was not effective.

Starters: 1/5 - Starters were served at the table. 1 veg (paneer) and 1 non-veg (chicken fry). Chicken was cold and seemed like the previous night's. There were soups too. But didn't look appetizing at all.

Salads: 2/5 - mainly just cut vegetables. They had cut cucumber, tomatoes, lettuce. 1 chicken salad and 1 sausage salad. Some varieties of cheese too.

    Main

  • Inconsistent quality but a life saver! 2008-04-28

I won't rave too much about the food/menu at Parabola, but that said, Parabola is a life saver when you're in the vicinity (Central suburbs) at the wee hours of night and need a place to refresh yourself or have a meal.

The staff is friendly and prompt and the ambience soothing and clean. If you can't make up your mind with à la carte, their midnight buffet is a safe bet. It's not the best in the city, but the food's good and you don't have to try EVERYTHING on the buffet table. Pick the best and you can surely be satisfied. The desserts aren't so bad.

    I surely recommend

  • Victim of racism in my own country 2008-03-31

After an exhilarating response at an event, my office colleagues and I decided to celebrate somewhere with beers. Since Parabola was the nearest to the event venue we decided to give it a shot. I have been to Parabola before and haven't had the best experience but I did not want to dampen the high spirits of the team and act like a forever-opinionated-spoilsport. And in any case we were only going for drinks, what could possibly go wrong with that?

We enter the restaurant at 4:00ish and it seemed pretty full. The food on the other tables looked appetizing at least. We were asked to wait
