Took the wife to Pure some time ago, the place is very well designed, laid out in two sections white and black. The black one is def the better one, its cozy, private and dimly lit.
Pure is marketed as a organic dining destination which i think is ridiculously inadequate since its more European fine dine than anything else.
You get a choice of ordering off the menu or calling for the tasting menu or the one paired with wine (3000/4000 pp) we chose the menu.
The food overall was okay, i think we made the mistake of not asking the chef to come in and just chat with him. most of the food was missing strong flavours and was just plain bland. So i think its more about just explaining how you like your dishes so they can adapt that when they make yours.
The dishes take some time in coming, so it would be nice to have sorbet or two thrown in while we wait.
The service is fantastic, we had heard one of their appetizers was not so great so though it was recommended we chose others. They brought it out anyway so we could make up our own minds.
Since we left some left overs they sensed we were not happy with things and brought out a cake (a whole freaking cake) to say sorry.
Quite honestly, the food is average and can be better. The menu needs more depth. The service however is probably the best i have had in all my years of eating out.
Damage catastrophic. about 6000 with a glass of wine.
