  • website left a bad taste... 2012-04-30

1st of all this is about their website, not about the theatre.

    1. they do not allow you to see the seat selection unless you provide them your emailid, and your mobile phone number.
    2. when you provide both, an account is automatically created without your explicit consent.
3."subscribe newsletter" checkbox is checked and remains checked no matter what you do. try to uncheck it for yourself.
    4. there is no Delete account button.
    5. error when trying to change either mobile number or emailid.

  • 3D movies?? 2010-09-30

Ok so the rage of 3D movies is on and practically every hollywood movie has a 2D and a 3D version, not to mention the variation in prices! Since PVR is clean and well maintained, thats an obvious choice with many movie goers around the area. But I dont understand why 2D versions of the movie, if available, is not screened? Why do I always have to watch the 3D version of a non-animated movie as well? I dont mind doling out the extra money for a 3D one but the glasses!! Oh the glasses!!! The glasses they give for the 3D experience is awful!! Spelling it in bold would be an understatement! The glasses... read more

  • Success breeding contempt? 2010-02-20

I have always loved going to the PVR Cinemas, since the days of Priya, Vasant Vihar and Anupam Cinema, Saket, New Delhi. I will always credit them from changing the movie viewing experience in India and making it more enjoyable and worth the extra money spent.
The trend continued in Mumbai when PVR, Oberoi Mall, Goregaon started.
As mentioned in the other reviews here, full marks to them from presenting an outstanding ambience, décor, food stalls, seats and staff. Amongst my friends, the PVR is still a “better experience” compared to some competition nearby.

  • PVR ROCKS :-) 2009-07-29

Well, after having bad experiences from Fame cinemas (inorbit), now our family visit only to PVR. The reason coz...
    (1) Very good Ambience
    (2) Rate are fine as per the quality they provide
    (3) Excellent Seating arrangement
    (4) Sorry to mention this but superb Loo's
    (5) Tasty..warm food served.(only thing i did not like is the taste of caremal popcorn..but its ok) Not only that ,but even the person comes during the interval to take the order is decent. unlike fame they are not carring the popcorns etc in their hand (the tray hanging on their neck) to sell.

    So

  • For a great movie experience 2009-06-19

The place will not disappoint. Good seats, like all PVRs, nice food court and clean and well maintained washrooms. The sound and visual quality is top-class and so are the staff. With around 8 screens, there's always a show you can catch here!
