  • Superb !!! Apr 04, 2013

After a last minute change in plans..we ultimately landed in Red Olives!!! an awesome place at an awesome location...right at the centre of Powai Hiranadani. Talking about the restaurant, this time there was a food carnival going with nice goan chicks around dressed in hawaiian style.. and full on Goan Ambience.. felt like i am in Goa ;-) called the Goan-Portugal Food Carnival which proved to be a boon for us.."Non-Veg Lovers"!! :-D
Well we ordered tonnes of items this time entirely Goan and Portuguese cuisines. Different types and varieties of Starters.. we ordererd starters so much that

  • Very bad quality food... Feb 18, 2013

They have no clue on how Yakhni Paya Shorba looks or tastes like. It was pathetic with smell of under-cooked condiments. Hakka Noodles was somewhat alright though is close resemblance of street food in look and taste; but the chicken in burnt garlic sauce was a disaster. They need to change the chef urgently and desperately. However, ambience, courtesy, valet parking, lighting, F&B service were above average. Pricing is slightly high but logical - only if the food was edible.

  • Ambience Jan 27, 2013

Love the ambience, beautiful decor, view of the hiranandani realm and over the top mis-en-place...coming to the food, went for the chinese and loved the chicken in basil and chilly. Apart from that got to give it to them for the authenticity being a multi-cuisine restaurant. Little heavy on the wallet but would definitely come back to try out its Konkan and Mughlai cuisine

  • Review - Worth once a try Jan 23, 2013

We had been there for a corporate lunch.
Price: 425 for Buffet (they mention as 395 which is an old price)
Including Tax, the buffet comes around 499/-

    Pros:
    a. Good Ambieance
    b. Quality Food

    Cons
    a. Expensive
    b. Not Quantity/Varied Choices in Food (esp. Buffet)
    c. Poor Hospitality
    d. Not worth of money

Moral: Go once a while but not always. Many other restaurants are far better than this one.

  • Worst experience eating out Jan 14, 2013

    Hi All,

Had the worst experience (of my lifetime of eating out) last night at Red Olives, Powai.

We were out for dinner, as a family, celebrating our child's first Lohri. Decided to go to Red Olives, over ITC Grand Maratha. Regret that decision oh so much now.

Initial experience was quite alright, with the hosts playing to the tune of what they've been trained at (hopefully some training exists - since what followed was a clear indication of no training).

Towards the end of the dinner, when we ordered dessert, we were treated to a nicely laid out Cream

  • can try once Nov 23, 2012

a few good things worth mentioning like the decor, cozy and warm with tables fairly spaced out, very likeable.Next, I enjoyed my my white rum cocktail, with a really tasty version of cheeslings that was served to accompany the drink.
Will I go back? Mostly No. With so many options in Powai, something very drastic will need to happen or some strong, reliable recommendation on another cuisine, to drag me there again.
Will I recommend? Yes, but only to the non-vegetarians as that menu looked very interesting & if someone is keen to try some other cuisine that they are serving and then tell

  • Don't try their cheesecake Nov 12, 2012

Have been here more than once, and I quite like their thai/chinese cuisine. Preferably go in a bigger group so that you can share and taste a lot of variety of food.

Try to avoid the cheesecake, it's one of the worst ones i have ever had in mumbai.

  • Serves good food & ambiance! Nov 12, 2012

It was the occasion of a friend's wife birthday dinner (Oct 18, 2012) and we had a chance of discovering the fine dinning experience at Powai's Red Olives.
We ordered a Shaan-e-Darbar, Chicken in Basil & Chilly, and Palak Tikka as starters.
In main course we ordered Navratan Pulav, Paneer Khushnuma, Rajasthani Lalmirch Murg, Raughani Roti, and Butter Naan..
I would like to acknowledge that the whole spread was really delicious and we just enjoyed the meal.
We were a group of 4 and it made our purses lighter by 3k.
They also served a complimentary birthday cake of three
