having heard a lot abt dis place, we went here with high hopes..but wre rather dissapointed..d ambience is nice..d soup n salds were v gud..d starters wre less spicy n dry..though veg ones we gud.. d main course lacked punjabi nonveg items..though d chinese was gud..d sweets were d best part..!! a lil costly but gud as a 1 time visit..! -

Good ambience with above average food 2012-02-16
I had gone to Saffron Spice, Powai with my office colleagues yesterday. The location is very accessible as it is near the Main highway (still one of our teammates could not find his way). We had booked buffet lunch for our team of 20. However we did not get a joint seating arrangement. The ambience was good. We started with the welcome drink which was I guess rasna pineapple. One of us requested for an extra drink but was refused by the waiter. The starters were good especially the non-vegetarian ones. In non-veg, Chicken Thai Curry was one with a nice blend of spices. Pathetic customer focus 2012-01-29
went to this place for the 5th time(probably the last)..its getting worst day by day.Staff doesnt even know abt wat they are serving and have least focus on customer satisfaction. All in all powai has much better places to go for -

I love this place. The food is super yummy & a good ambiance to top it all. I highly recommend this place for a buffet lunch during work hours or just to chill at their lounge called Clove (interesting name)! -

Well to begin with, if you are a vegetarian better not go here cause their menu is a delight for the non vegetarians, whereas for the veggies its just there for the sake of it.
I was here with my family and they had a candle light dinner night, which was very pleasing and calm but as I realized later it was calm only because there were very few people initially. Once the place fills up you can hear almost everyone.
Since it was a candle light dinner night, it got pretty hard to read the menu and even after asking the captain to brighten the lights a bit, he refused saying... read more -

I ordered a biryani because i had heard a lot about it... but to be honest, it was average.. nothing special.. the starters are just ok... the place becomes noisy in the evenings and doesn't give an impression of a fine dine.. all in all, not a very pleasant experience.. -

It was a random decision to visit this place, but it turned out rather satisfying. The ambiance gets the first nods when you enter its premises. Bright, crafty and colorful, it is quite something for the eyes. A decent selection of food items to choose from (Biryani is spectacular, and yes it had saffron and spice in it!) and good service, this place is a great choice for a family lunch or dinner. Avoid the soup or 'shorma' and stick to the regular Indian meal.
Verdict: Not bad at all! -
