ive been contemplating driving all the way to oshiwara for a friday night dinner after a long day at work..but somehow my friends convinced me to go there...
anyways..the place was amlost comletely occupied except for a table which we occupied. a yound guy approached us with the food n beverage menu and identified himself as "samrat"..i guess he was the owner..courteous and helpful..
-started off with a round of beers
--fumbled for a while trying to get familiar with the long n thin menu card..
--- called for Mexi Skin with oyester mushroom--YUM
-----Nachos with ChiCos (chilli beans) --Also YUM
------must mention about the staff..servers roaming around in cowboy hats..lol..but prompt and extremly polite.
-------Vodka with cranberyy juice- my friend seemed satisfied with it and called for a repeat so i guess it tasted nice.
--------For the Main couse we let our server choose for us and turned out to be a good decision:
-Verduras Verdes- Have no clue what it means lol- but was some delicious mexican rice preparation
-Mexican Pizza -- two layed thin crust pizza with spicy tomato gravy, parmesean cheese etc --but was eqally well cooked and well presented.
-Ribo Ribo- Kind of a mexican rissoto- bland, but nice texture.
Price wise:
umm i think one starter was for Rs. 120 another for 180
The main course RS 150 average per selection
Beer- RS 100
Total cheque was around Rs.1150 for the food and another Rs 1000 or so for the drinks.
BTW they serve complemtary tortilla chips with spicy tomato salsa, which is replaced as soon as the portion gets over.
Overall the feel of the place is appealing. The celiengs nicely done and the interiors have a good mexican feel to it of course with the servers in Cowboy hats..:-)
Fun place for a saturday night dinner!
Absolutely recomended!
