I had quite a similar experience here at Sammy Sosa a few days ago. While the food tasted excellent, it just took forever to come. We spent about 2.5 hours. Yes, 150 minutes in total - of which 100 was spent waiting for waiters :=) to take our order and when they finally took the order we waited some more for the food to arrive. As it was their first weekend after opening shop, I didn't want to spank them on the knuckles, but now after reading the previous reviewers post, I felt compelled to write about my experience as well.
While the owner (or partner) welcomed us promptly and promised to seat us in 2 minutes, the seating happened after almost 30 minutes. And we had made prior reservations.
The owner/partner would either just disappear from the floor or get busy talking to people.
We were a group of 8 people but didn't receive any discount or freebies either.
One piece of free advice to the management - Please don't over promise and under deliver. It is a very unforgiving world out there. The food is good, please improve your service.
