We have been going to Samrat for the past 5-6 years and it has never disappointed us!
The food is of excellent quality, the thali is very well put together, the service is good, the only complaint is with the people coming there.....there kids!! OMG!! but all aside very good place...:) -

Had the Thali for lunch yesterday and been running to the toilet ever-since. Food was also not good, too oily and quite tasteless. -

I remember the trips to samrat used to be a one off things when i was younger.. anytime we had to go to churchgate ( from borivali) it used to be an event and samrat would feature prominently in those plans.. now i frequent samrat at the first opportunity i get and it still delivers.
the food is excellent anyone who said that its oily or spicy must have pissed off his server in some unforgivable way, because i have NEVER been disappointed at samrat. sure its not fine dining and it doesn't pretend to be one either... but its good food nonetheless.
