  • Are you listening? 2012-01-08

I went to this restaurant with my family after 2-3 years. We specifically asked for dishes which can be made non-spicy. We ordered the dishes recommended – Butter Chicken & Chicken Handi and requested at least zillion times that the food should contain no chilies. In spite of all this, the food was extra spicy and we could not consume it. This ruined our evening.

Either their chef instead of non spicy made the food with extra spice by mistake or they cannot make food as per specifications of their patrons. Even a take away place would make a chicken dish as per my taste and considerin

  • More than Good Punjabi Food 2011-10-22

Sasural is probably among the oldest restaurants in Lokhandwala. This restaurant serves delicious Punjabi Cuisine priced in the Above Average/Expensive Range.

Food is simply awesome, coupled with good service and a very comfortable ambiance which gives the foodie a full and relishing experience. The instrumental background music makes things only better.

My Advice - you must try this place at least once.My favourite is Reshmi Kebab and any Gravy with hot Roti. Sweethtoother's - Jalebi and Rabdi a complete Die Hard combo.

  • Amazing Service 2011-10-16

Staff is really pleasant and welcoming. Food was great. Overall a nice experience.

One recommendation, get rid of the buffet section. It's really embarrassing to put 3-4 items and call it a buffet. I went their on a weekend and didn't see a single person opting for it.

It was nice to read a review from you.
The Buffet section, is not as lean as you have pointed out. We in fact serve the soups and starters hot on guest's table, freshly prepared, and the desserts also come on the table and this might be the reason that you found lesser number of items displayed on the buffet table.

  • A decent affair! 2011-10-11

It is one of those typical upscale punjabi restaurants, where you casually order some starters and drinks, with friends or family, but might be little lonely to go alone, because of the ambience and the dim lights. The food is really nice. Especially try the paneer starters.
The only downside is the price. It is a little-bit on the higher side. For a proper dinner for three people including drinks, will cost round-about 2000 bucks.

    Dear Ankit,
Glad to see your review. We try to make the place as homely as possible, where you can enjoy the authentic Punjabi food with your family and friends.
As for the price factor, we believe in serving the food prepared from best quality raw materials and at times our price may seem to be on the higher side. But we never try to compromise on the quality. We feel you will appreciate that.
    Thanks for being in touch.

Well, the price factor isn't that much of a hindrance, because in comparison with other restaurants in your "Genre", I think, you don't charge anymore than what others do. So, I would still like to come back to this place.
And about the quality, everybody appreciates good quality. So, keep it up.

  • Excellent Ambiance 2010-01-08

The ambience here is very good.
The service is impressive with all waiters speaking english.
Normally in restaurant waiters do not suggest or give bad suggestion but here the waiter help us to decide which dish to prefer and their suggestion is always right.
Taste of starter is excellent with good amount of quantity.
    One should try platters here
