Awesome Chinese food 2009-07-10
Shang dynasty filled in the place for chinese restaurants in Lower Parel area. At first when I joined in there were no restaurants at all. Now we have full range of restaurants and all kinds of food. Coming back to Shang Dynasty the food is awesome as the quantity is too great. Love the fried rice and the all the Paneer gravy.
The next best thing is you actually get to see the kitchen unlike the other restaurants.
We hope the quality and quantity dont change.
Recommend to go once to the place as the service is quickest. I have never had any quicker service than... read more -

Tasty Food, Impressive Service 2009-03-08
Shang Dynasty is primarily a take-away Indian Chinese joint, which has a few tables to accommodate its' eat in customers. First thing which grips you at this place is a crystal clear, in your face view of the kitchen area, which is surely an eyesore.
For soup, I had Tom Kha Prawn soup, was a little watery with an overdose of coriander, but on the whole it was yummy. For starters, I had two preparations. Firstly, Golden Fried Prawns, were tasty, but could and should have had a crispier crust. Falling quality 2009-03-03
I have been ordering from Shang Dynasty for quite a long time now. Initially I thought of it as a blessing here in lower parel because the quality of the food was amazing and the quantities were massive(they still are), and the prices seemed to be just right. The first time I ordered chilli straw potatoes and veg burmese khowsuey. It was a heavenly experience for that time and the next time i ordered. Then the quality started deteriorating and all the good regard started fading away quickly.

Best chinese food in Mumbai 2008-08-12
My mouth is watering already. The food is great. I'll rate it 5/5. Can't tell you what to eat what not to. But we've almost tried everything out here. And it's all MIND-BLOWING. The place is little bit cramped. But the bet thing is that these guys have open-kitchen. Just so you know how hygienic they are. Their portions are just perfect for a hogger in you. Delivery is quite good when you compare it to the quality of food you get to eat. Try this place out. You'll receive blessings from the Land of China. -

Nice Oriental Cuisine 2008-06-28
Had Cantonese Pepper Chicken and Rice Puffed Crusted Fish Fingers for starters and didn't quite like the latter.
Had a Chicken Mongolian Stir Fry in Black Bean Sauce and liked the refreshingly different taste. I'm pretty bored of having oriental preparations heavy on a manchurian or schezwan base with loads of ginger + garlic. The stir fry in black bean sauce, in such a large portion, was a nice change.
The ambiance is nothing to talk home about. More like a small pizza delivery outlet. And these guys switch on the A/C on demand - only when a customer steps in!
