Shikara serves awesome Tabak Maaz amongst other good Kashmiri dishes.
Must reassure yourself that your Beer is chilled ;)
I found ambience to be way too loud.. ..
Food good...prices steep.

Nice place to spend evening 2011-01-16
If you are in Navi Mumbai and looking for a nice place to spend evening with friends and family Shikara can be a good option.
Ambiance is different giving you a feel of having dinner on board a shikara and classical music going in background. Though we felt the music was bit loud.
I specifically liked the starters, we ordered reshmi kakbab which were one of the best I ve ever had in Mumbai. Shorba was tasty but we did not enjoy main course as much though it was Kashmiri dish roganjosh chicken.

Its a good place to be, if you want a Kashmiri ambience and a mellow evening out for dinner. The price is a little on the higher side, and the food does not keep up to it.
If you are tired of being to the same regular restaurants and not so keen on mouth watering cuisine, this is the place to be.
Dont forget to request for your favorite ghazal, they will sing it live for you !! -

Please change the tag from moderate to EXPENSIVE.
Had some soup (salty) had to change it , Paneer Tikka (gr8) masala papad , shikara shyam sawera (OK) Butter Chicken (Bad - asked the chef to make it spicy using spices) instead they put green chilly pieces and rajma (watery) Laccha paratha (not good)
service poor......
My 1st and last visit to this place.
One star is only for the Paneer tikka.
