Was good earlier but has changed drastically 2011-09-22
2-3 years ago I used to go there regularly for hukkahs and light drinks. It was a good place then... good to hang around with friends, have hukkahs and watch cricket matches. So went there with the same old friends to revive some old memories and we found that the place is nothing like it was 3 years ago. The service has changed and the quality of it has dropped drastically... the waiters seem lazy and ignorant... plus they don't even answer courteously when called. Food quality has dropped likewise... won't advice anyone to visit this place in its current state. -

Cheap Gate boy 2011-05-14
Hey ,
I went to Shimmer last nite with my friend. (at least planned to enter the place)
I would like to make a note that the Gate boy was cheap....
He was smelling , couldn't speak English or even decent Hindi and was smoking..
The Gate boy said that I could not enter because of some dress code..
Standing behind me was a man who stood there alone , drunk, abusing in hindi and friendly talking to the gate boy....Total cheap talk ..discussing someone inside...and he was sent inside..
We just left the hell out of there..
Gross Place.... Didn't even want to enter... read more -

Do not Ruin your Weekends here 2011-02-12
If you plan to have fun and want to try Shimmer for the first time.- Have a second thought. As the rules here changes every min- the gate boy has an attitude and do not know how to behave with the customers . First they have Dress code problem and then suddenly they change the rule surprise no entry permitted for stags -

This is kind of very cheap place...u feel like sitting in a red light area...
Food is really bad and way to costly...
And to add to it, Staff is very arrogant and rude, they feel themselves like the king of this world..never respond to customer's call is a mannered way..
If given an option I will rate this lounge minus 5 star... -

Hey Manish, Feels like you had a very bad experience at shimmer, Would first like to apologize for whatever happ and would surely take this up with my staff......
Also sir as said by you that SHIMMER looks like red light area, jst to tell that the lights inside are changable and are always changed as per guest request.....
Regarding our food being costly, we have already made a new menu which is under the process of printing.... in which you would find much more varity and much more excited recipes

Cockroach (tidda) joined us for the Beer 2010-04-11
Cockroach (tidda) joined us for the Beer we were having...But he wasnt so interested in the Beer , so turned back, we ordered some chicken starters , the tidda returned...We informed the steward,he was helpless...we vowed never to return.
This probably happened some 4 months ago..just recalled this incident so thought of sharing with everyone.. -

This is something to worry about... firstly a strong apology from the management of SHIMMER... I suggest that whenever you visit SHIMMER next time please do get in touch with us as we need to rectify our weakness.... As far as it is concerned with what has happened with you... we need a chance to give you the best hospitality.... and yes this time for sure without cockroaches (tidda)..... will we get this opportunity......

Oh this place lived up to its earlier reputation. The place looks like a red light area. The staff was so arrogant, first they only recommended a table to sit and then later came and told this is reserved and asked us to shift. The ambience is very shaddy and has red lights all over, very uncomfortable, crowd not good.....ended having just a pint and left@md.,cd!!!!!!! -

may be your visit to SHIMMER must not have created a good impact in your mind.... but i suggest that you please visit our Lounge again and give us one more chance to improve....

Happy Hours the is most appreciated by most !!
Music is oink oink not that happening it's more of new wannabe types but in malad we hardly have choice to hang out hence not crying out.
Service is k.
It's better then any other places which one could go around malad link road.
Seating arrangement is quite normal. On week ends it is congested which is obvious. Otherwise LCD Screens are k.
They also have fish tank but i have not seen any fish in it !! yeah i guess it is lounge & not Aquarium shop. -

Hey girls n guys hi..
Well we have been to Shimmers finally after thinking to visit this place from past 3 months..
Very good ambiance & sitting arrangement..10/10
Music is loud..very nice lasers..but sometimes the song selection is not that gud...lousy songs played at times..8/10
Food is gud and quiet reasonable...9/10
even we tried couple of Mocktails..were gud except for pinnacoleda.....so for this 7/10
but over all agud experience..8.5/10 for those who want to freak out on fridays and saturdays..
for service 10/10...gu -

Nice ambience & lighting..pretty big & not too crowded..Best part is the happy hours which are only till 9pm now..Pitcher on pitcher free..Good part is they let you order as many as you want..Good music..The DJ agrees to play your request but then he doesn't actually play it at all..Coked out I suppose..In the food,paneer pataka is pretty good..Some ppl in the crowd start dancing after few drinks..Not cool..Why don't ppl understand the concept of a lounge?? Overall a neat place though..Reasonable rates as well.. -
