Shiv Sagar in Churchgate is conveniently located - minutes away from the sea face. I had just gone for some munching after spending a nice time with frenz at the marine drive sea face.
We were reqeusted to be seated in the Non AC section as the AC section was full. Thats ok and understandable. But hey, this section is a little conjusted. The tables (and chairs) are not spaced out evenly and it becomes difficult for the waiters to move around.
The menu is full of variety. From chinese to snacks to punjabi everything under one roof... and hey... they have a bar in this shiv sagar too!.. I never knew that until I visited. Good I say considering the class of people who enter.
The floor manager - captain was a polite gentleman. Even though we all were trying to have fun while placing the order, he joined in. The polite and smiling guy took our order. 1 Dal Khichidi and 1 Paneer Chilly.
Both of them tasted well - except that the Paneer Chilly had too small slices/pieces of capsicum and onion. There were less of paneer infact. But it did taste good. Khichidi was fine too and ya.. we ordered dry papad to go with the khichidi...
The waiters like any in any other Shiv Sagar move swiftly from one place to the other - but took quite sometime to get our order. They probably have a hard time catering to such a huge crowd. But no excuses - you gotta be quick in a Shiv Sagar.
Total Damage - Rs. 255...
