tunga was to be our third, reluctant option after the four seasons near inorbit had a half hour waiting(!!) and fortune was too far of for the mice in our stomachs. we decided to head to tunga, the good old.
firstly, they had just one guy as the valet. we revolve into the hotel and were surprised to find the place quite empty, going by the fact that four seasons across the road had a half hour minimum of waiting. doubts crept into my mind, honestly speaking, but previous experiences had been good.
ok, on to the food now.
1.the jheenga was bland, believe me, no salt, NO SALT!
2.the galouti kebabs ordered were just minced pieces of meat, and beleive me , being foodies and that too from lucknow, i know what i am talking about.
3. caeser salad contained fresh salmon, and thats about the only thing that was fresh, absolutely no dressing.
And all this was taken back, hidden from view for 10 minutes and brought back , with more salt, little dressing and the same pieces of meat came back.
the less said about main course, the better, but i cant stop my self.
we got chicken in tomato puree, and the dal tadka was nice, was used to drown out any other tastes.
and the final nail in the coffin, or the bait in the line, what ever is appropriate,
i went to the desert counter, or the display, asked the guy about the brownie (looked more like a pastry, yummy!), in the display, ordered it , and then got a simple brownie with icecream. when i asked as to why i didnt get the one in the display, he said you should have pointed out towards it.
pathetic. we had to stop ourselves from complaining at the risk of sounding redundant.
