ordered 2 thalis and 1 panner makhanwala gravy
both my ganny and i landed with acidity and a loose motions within 4 hrs ,
service was slow and the waiter was serving the people next to us when they came good 5 mins after us , yes because of a girl sitting in western clothes , looks like the waiters never saw a lady in western before . -

Cool eatery for Veggies 2011-01-29
Gujju Thali, Punjabi, South Indian - Veg Food from around India. Great Taste and Highly Recommended.
Book early and still prepare to wait for a table in the evenings. -

dude let me tell u ..tis plce may b good but v wer in for a shocker on the 31st nite...hungry and all set to attack quality food v steppd into status..got our nme written in the waiting list...wtd there for 50mins..all tis was fine...but wen v started ordering food..one by one they brought in howlers...staters wer the enders of our hopes...sab kuch thanda tha boss...mini vada pav,mini pavbhaji,khandvi,cheese garlic bread..all wer thanda..nd the waiter jus refused to ackwledge tht they mde a blunder...the attitude of the waiters SUCKSS....!!

Good South Indian, Average North Indian fare 2010-12-01
A regular hangout for office-goers, Status offers Thalis too. I haven't had that in a long time so wouldn't comment.
Status is one of my favourite restaurants and I've always been dropping in here for snacks or coffee with colleagues, which have always turned out to be good.
I had lunch here today, after almost a year and sadly state that I didnt quite enjoy it. The vegetable and paneer dishes had no distinct taste from each other ( unless of course you called for a white gravy based dish). The prices too have increased, not at all justifying the quality of food. Disappointing! Hoping... read more -

Real Value for Money 2010-10-21
i have tried South Indian dishes at umpteenth restaurants but STATUS is the showstopper, the crisp dosas with unlimited helpings of sambhar and chutney keeps me coming back for it.Also there punjabi food and other starters are amazing.I think they can claim to be one the biggest dining restaurants in mumbai. Dining at STATUS is an experience in itself! -

Good place and good food. I have had a good experince overall, but I didn't like the paneer bhurji, it was very bland in taste. The Garlic Naan and Onion Kulcha were too good. The Dosa sambar are also too good. The way they server South Indian food is good, with unlimited sambar!! -

The food was tasteless and bland, and there was no Chinese food. I only went there to get dimsums, and there wasn't any. I also wanted some Hyderabadi Mutton Mint Biryani, and the mutton was missing, as well as the Hyderabadi. This is not good, why is the restaurant Vegetarian, don't you know I am a meat-eater? I am going to talk to the PM about this. This is not first-class, this was like non-AC chair car. Shocking behavior.
PS: I have never been there. -

Love this place 2010-06-24
I totally love the thali here..full paisa vasool happens. I have been told the prices have gone up but think it is still worth it. Service is fantastic but then they are always full whether it is a busy weekday afternoon or even a Sunday night! Do go and enjoy the food. Oh and don't miss the mini pav-bhajis :) -

Good food at their `status` price :) 2009-12-20
This place rocks, my usual lunch place but sometimes it was necessary to look for change as food here is little spicy with lot of oil/ghee/butter in each item.
Puri bhaji, idli-sambhar and veg biryani are mostly hot selling items here, facility of eating outdoor w/o a/c or indoor with a/c are there.
Service is good and fast, also you can call any service boy when outdoor; for water, stuffed onion, coconut chutney, sambhar, pickle...that too many times :)
Nice place and if you are working at Nariman Point, you hardly have other choice for regular eat out at value for mone -
