Best Sushi in Mumbai 2011-10-26
I LOVE Sushi! Im from South Africa but have been living in Mumbai for 1 year now. Iv been searching and searching for affordable delicious sushi------ and now I finally found it!! Iv order 3 times from Sushi Spice and it was great EVERY time! I think the people who have written bad reviews no nothing about Sushi and im so glad I went ahead and ordered anyway! Keep it up Sushi Spice! -

Delicious sushi 2011-07-04
Hi all i eneded up on sushi spice site googled them and read the reviews here i wasnt sure to order or not with some bad reviews here, but my sushi temptation made me order and i was really pleased with what i got the california rolls were perfect and the spicy salmon was too good! i will definitely try again -

Pls don't order 2011-07-03
This is the most distateful sushi i have ever had. Please dont order and waste your money. The sushi looks bad, tastes even worse. No wasabi or ginger served. package is very cheap and not hygenic.
it wont be long before these frauds fold. -

I was put off by a lot of the negative reviews, however i still decided to give it a shot as its the only one of its kind in Mumbai.
There are times when we have an intense craving for eating a lot of sushi and a fancy-schmancy little plate with 2 fattytuna sushi's doesn't do it for us (though we do appreciate that sort of thing, on its day)
So this seemed to be an ideal solution since they home-deliver and prices are cheap.

Disappointment! 2010-08-25
I was really looking forward to a good sushi delivery outlet. Unfortunately, this place didnt really match up to my expectations. The veg sushi rolls werent well rolled, the soya sauce was too salty and the wasabi wasnt flavorful! The miso soup was a total disaster. The delivery was tardy, and tackily packed. For the prices they charge, this was a big disappointment. Some of my friends have had similar experiences too.
I hope they can step up the food quality - would look forward to some quality home delivered sushi! -

Loved it!!! 2010-08-20
I recently cam back from New YOrk only to realise i was starved of japanese food while browsing i came across sushi spice as i live in bandra too i ordered some a sushi platter with california and philadelphia rolls it was delicious,the best bit was their original ginger and japanese wasabi pack.Awesome!! -

Horrible 2010-07-25
I will never eat in a Japanese restaurant again that does not have japanese eating there.
I will stick to Fenix @ The Oberoi where they have 80 different types of sushi or the Japanese restaurant at the Taj (can't remember as I was there only once becasue it was so expensive).
They use Scottish salmon the waiter said at Fenix and everything was fresh! -

Reasonable Priced Sushi! 2010-07-25
Great Japanese food at a great price. I absolute love their concept. I wish there wore more international cuisine strictly delivery services in this city.
The veg rolls are great, and filling. I would go with the 8 count box vs the 9 count.
The only issue I have, is that they put barely any cream cheese in my rolls.. that and the soba veg noodles needed a little more love.
my last advice is, if they are able to get some bento box style packaging containers, I would be ecstatic. Seeing Japanese food in bad containers, is an insult to the food!

Hi guys i am compelled to write this review here after reading the bad review here by some guys i was almost not ordering but i took a risk and ordered spicy salmon.loved it Absolutely!! with sushi being so scarcely available in bombay this was a relief,i will order again for sure!! -

Great Sushi 2010-06-03
Hi Guys,we read reviews here and were really secptical of ordering sushi from sushi spice but since this is the only ple which looks prefessional and also has some good reviews we thought to give it a try. We did request for the delivery to come in ice box and it did arrive in a cool box. Obviously as we all know indian salmon can not be used for sashimi and nigiri so it has to be frozen and imported but it was a good choice. Their spicy salmon roll was really good and the california rolls, we will try sushi spice again for sure:-) -
